We're committed to integrating lower-impact materials into our supply chain, which is why we've been using TENCEL™ branded Modal fibres in our collections since 2021. We also understand the importance of transparency, so we’ve had all of our modal products certified under strict guidelines, meaning you can be sure your product contains TENCEL™ Modal fibres.

What Are Tencel™ Modal Fibres?

TENCEL™ Modal fibres are carefully sourced from FSC- or PEFC-certified, responsibly managed forests and made with at least 50% less carbon emissions and water consumption compared to generic modal.* TENCEL™ Modal fibres help to retain the softness of fabrics even after repeated washing.

Washing Tencel™ Modal

Because of its fine, natural fibre structure, we recommend washing on a cold, gentle cycle or by hand, using a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softener, as these can affect the fibre's natural softness over time.

Do not tumble dry, air drying is best, and following recommended wash and care instructions found in the garment’s care label, along with avoiding high heat, helps preserve both the softness and longevity of your TENCEL™ Modal garment.

OEKO-TEX™ CERTIFIED

All of our collections made with TENCEL™ Modal fibres are manufactured at our in-house Bangladesh factory which is certified as STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX™. This certification confirms that the fabrics used have been tested for numerous regulated and non-regulated harmful substances and are harmless to human health.

Derived From The Raw Natural Material Wood

TENCEL™ Modal fibres are made from wood, a natural and renewable raw material carefully sourced from responsibly managed forests. The wood taken from nature is purposefully balanced with forest growth rates, to ensure the continued availability of this valuable resource.

Certified With The EU Ecolabel For Environmental Excellence*

TENCEL™ Modal fibres are certified with the widely recognised EU Ecolabel for textile products (licence no. AT/016/001). This label is awarded to products that meet high environmental standards. Key criteria for evaluation include production processes limiting the usage of substances harmful to human health or the environment, and minimising key environmental impacts.

Supports Long-Lasting Softness

TENCEL™ Modal fibres give fabrics a natural softness, making them feel pleasant against the skin.

TENCEL™ Modal fibres’ cross-section and tenacity favour fabric softness, allowing them to withstand repeated washing and drying cycles. Following recommended wash and care instructions helps retain the softness of your textile products. Additionally, air-drying textile products made of TENCEL™ fibres can further prolong their product life.
